Participants per country were given ten minutes to discuss possible collaboration
for follow-through activities that can be undertaken.
The following were the activities identified and reported by each
country grouping:
· Cambodia:
a) Conduct of a consultation workshop to identify the potential/capacity
of the youth to participate in agriculture investments;
b) Set-up/identify models/best practices of young agri-entrepreneurs; and
c) Facilitate/link young agri-entrepreneurs with private agribusinesses.
· Myanmar
a) Meet with “national-level policy makers” (i.e. Farmers Affairs
Committee, Amyothar Hluttaw) to discuss and urge them to promote/enact laws,
policies, regulations and services/programs for the youth.
· Laos:
a) Continue coordination among themselves;
b) Conduct a national consultation workshop on RAI to be participated in
by representatives from GOs, NGOs/CSOs, FOs, PPs and FAO;
c) Continue communication/engagement with regional and global FAO.
· Vietnam:
b) Tasked AsiaDHRRA and VietDHRRA to come up with an “action plan” for the
coordination of all the organizations in the group for the conduct of a
possible follow-up activity.
